Jesse Ryder - idiot

There has always been a fair amount of innuendo whispered about Jesse Ryder. The closest it ever seems to appear in the open is when a newspaper article refers to him having "a history". But here is something which gives us something a bit more concrete to go on. Ryder failed to turn up for a match for Ireland yesterday (he was playing as their overseas professional). The Ireland coach has not surprisingly announced that the young Kiwi is unlikely to play for his team again.

Jesse the idiot wants to play for England after his behaviour with Ireland no team is going to want to deal with him, If I was in his club in the UK I would be worried he's done it once nothing to stop him pulling the same stunt again - I also think Ireland needs to focus a picking players who want to play for them remember thay had a no show with a Pakistani test player for family reasons last year as well and as for the chap who did show up if I remember he should have stayed at home.

I am from Jesse's club in the UK. People have not got the truth of the story about the Ireland game. Jesse bowled 22.4 overs non-stop on the Saturday and was not fit to travel the following morning. He phoned his agent to explain and his agent said he would contact Ireland. We knew of Jesse's history but since his arrival he has been a top professional and has socialised very well (yes he still likes a drink!). He has many guys his age at the club and he seems happy with the surroundings. Why do you people when you have such a talent want to knock them down all the time. He is a tremendous cricketer and we in England would welcome such a talent in our ranks if the Kiwis don't want him. In future please ask for the full facts before destroying someone to such a large audience.

Maybe you should take it up with the BBC. Mike was just reporting what was in the article he linked to.

We'd love to have a source closer to the ground though, so please do let us know how Jesse is doing.

Update on Jesse Ryder......

Jesse has so far scored 425 runs in 8 innings in our ECB Premier league program and is adapting to green English wickets very well. His bowling has been exceptional as he already has 37 wickets at an average of 6.71.
In our regional 20/20 competetition he scored 147 not out from 61 balls helping us amass 228-3. This kid is a real talent.

Will update you further next month
