New Zealand vs Pakistan preview

South Africa did New Zealand a big favour last night by beating Sri Lanka. The result means that a New Zealand win tonight will see the Kiwis through to the semi-finals on the Champions Trophy.

By way of a preview we have interviews with New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming and his possible successor, vice-captain Dan Vettori. We also get the news that the pitch will be a good one and that chemicals will again come into play, through the use of something called APSA-80 to reduce the impact dew has on play.

Can't believe there's still speculation about leaving out Shane Bond. It's a key clash alright, but the only way to get Shane Bond back into 'rhythm' is to give him more bowling out in the middle, right? should be a good game..... I'd say if New Zealand can restrict Pakistan to 250 or below, they've got a great chance. Bit worried about them defending a score though. Fleming or Astle have to come up with a big score, considering the others are taking their time to adjust to the new season.

Pakistan's batting looks good but this is seriously the least explosive attack the kiwis would have encountered from them. Expect the game to hinge on Razzaq's and Afridi's contributions.
