US laps up tickets for the World Cup
The first phase of ticket applications for the World Cup in Caribbean ends on 31 July. And so far the two places where the majority of ticket applicants come from are the UK and the US. Most of the US applicants will obviously be Commonwealth born people living in the US, but I still find it an odd thing to discover.

Not that hard to find.
I'm a college student in Chicago, and I've found that aside from the residents, there are a LOT of foreign students (a huge number from India and Pakistan around the universities) in the country. And given that the World Cup's timed to coincide with a lot of people's spring breaks, it's an easy getaway.
Not heading there though, given my preference for test cricket. :)
[BTW - great blog. Just came across it yesterday, have added it to my blogline.]
