Larsen's line

Gavin Larsen's latest piece looks at two players who failed to gain contracts, Craig McMillan and Chris Harris. Larsen also makes an interesting prediction - that Mathew Sinclair will turn his contract down and that New Zealand Cricket will turn to McMillan to replace him...

While it would be a shame if Skippy were to choose not to take up his contract, I think he would have some justification. He can't be too confident under the current management. Also, the fact that he is chiefly a test player may make this contract year, with only 3 tests, pretty lean for him, not only in game time but also in income as he won't be able to supplement his meagre retainer with match fees.

3 tests, now down to 2 with one of the Sri Lankan ones this summer canned.
