Roebuck on Gilchrist

I am sure we have been here before. Each time Adam Gilchrist does something wonderful it seems the press can’t wait to tell the world how he changed the role of wicket-keepers for good. At least this time we have a decent journalist writing that particular angle, Peter Roebuck.

Gilchrist changed the role of wicketkeeper (batsmen) ages ago. Journalists telling us now, are a little late really. See basically all other sides employing the tactics - perhaps lesser keepers that promise something with the bat - Boucher, McCullum, G.Jones, Sangakara, Dhoni, Akmal, they're all doing it!! India even use Dravid occasionally for ODIs.
