NZ vs the Rest

It might not sound that exciting at first glance, the Sri Lankan tour replaced with a handful of one-day games against players not selected for their own national teams - but when those players include Shane Warne, Muttiah Muralitharan, Lance Klusener, Andy Flower, Heath Streak, Graeme Hick, Justin Langer, Michael Bevan, Ian Harvey, Matthew Elliot, Andy Bichel Sanath Jayasuriya, Chaminda Vaas and Kumar Sangakkara it starts to sound a lot better. It is all still unofficial, but an announcement is expected today and according to the leaks these players will be here to play the New Zealand team in games on January 22, 24 and 26.

Gday all!
Well now it is official and I think the thought of having Andy Bichel and Michael Bevan back on the ODI scene from an Australian point of view will be thrilling. Bichel is still good enough for the ODI Aussie team and Bevan has proved this season he is still at the top of his game and will be determined to prove his case to selectors. From a Kiwi perspective I am sure it will be an ample test for a great ODI team to tackle. Really the Australian ODI team should travel to NZ or host NZ in Brisbane for a replay of the washed out ODI decider. After tonights awesome charity game in Melbourne the future looks good for an exciting summer of cricket not seen in years!
Cheers from Down Under!
