A place for me to indulge my passion for New Zealand cricket, post those stories that don't make the back pages of the morning paper and discuss cricket with my friends.

It's been a wonderful week but to me it simply means the kiwis are back on track rather than completely revived. The top order has hit form at just the right time, but I have a feeling Fleming still isn't sure of what his most reliable bowling combination is, with Tuffey looking out of sorts and Franklin constanly under the microscope. Good on Ross Taylor, but I think he can certainly do without the press going overboard like this. I suppose the hype is inevitable (and justified, in this case) because NZ traditionally hasn't been blessed with classy and talented batsmen. Look what happened to Hamish Marshall after his first year of success. Still, Taylor looks a way better prospect than Marshall so he should have a long international career ahead of him.
